About Siam – A coach's experience, a rider's passion
A lifelong passion, quality teaching
My name is Siam, I'm the founder of Ride With Siam, and I've been teaching sports for over 20 years. After earning a degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (STAPS), I began sharing my passion for surfing at the age of 22. Three years later, I became a certified kitesurfing instructor.
Today I live in Fuerteventura, where I offer private and semi-private surfing and kitesurfing lessons, with one goal: to help you progress at your own pace, with a good vibe and complete safety.
My mission
Teaching is the main objective. I believe the safest way to practice these water sports is to fully assimilate the technique and connect your senses with the present moment. Working with this philosophy, it's very prudent to advance the practice and form a responsible community. Today, there's a lot of demand, and we see a lot of inappropriate behavior on our beaches every day, leading to bad press and sometimes even accidents.
Experience in competition and coaching
I had the privilege of coaching Tomasz Budzinski, a young Polish talent who was crowned national champion in all categories… at just 13 years old! I was also the official coach of the Polish U14 team during the European Surfing Championship in Tenerife.
And since I'm still a rider at heart, I've also participated in kitesurfing competitions, including a 3rd place in wave modality kitesurfing in the Gran Canaria in 2022.
A method focused on you
I firmly believe that learning is best in small groups. That's why I intentionally limit the number of students:
- Maximum 2 people per kitesurfing lesson
- Maximum 4 people per surfing lesson
This way, I can give you my full attention, adapt to your level, and create a real connection. I speak French, English, and Spanish fluently, and have a smattering of Italian.
Safety, fun, and zero blah blah
Since launching Ride With Siam, I've trained more than 500 students without a single accident. The reason? I always prioritize safety, the use of quality equipment, and spots adapted to the day's conditions.
No wind? Don't worry: I always have a backup plan (surf session, island excursion, local experiences, etc.) thanks to my network here in Fuerteventura.
Want to surf with me?
Whether you're a beginner or already experienced, I'd be happy to support you in your progress. Do you have questions, want to chat, or book your first lesson?
